John Kolness
A native of Hendrum, Minnesota, John is co-publisher of The Fm Extra and its sister publications, the Clay County Union, the Red River Promoter, Fargo-Moorhead Metro, and Red River Valley Memories Magazine. He has been in the publishing and printing business since 1981. John and his wife, Jyl, have four children, two dogs and two horses.

Tammy Finney
Tammy lives on a farm near Georgetown, Minnesota where her family is active in farming and raising livestock. Writing under the pen name Emily, she provides a lighthearted view of day to day life on the farm. Along with writing, Tammy is also a custom marketing specialist for The FM Extra and its sister publications. With a lifelong devotion to horses, she has been involved with the Riding On Angels’ Wings therapeutic riding program since its founding and currently sits on the board of directors.

Larry Gauper
A native North Dakotan, Larry spent over 40 years in radio-TV broadcasting and production, advertising agency work and corporate communications. He is now retired and devoting more time to writing, speaking, and communications consulting. He and his spouse, JoAnne, have lived in Fargo since 1967.

Tom Pantera
Tom has been a working reporter for more than half his life. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1981, the Columbia Heights, Minn., native worked at newspapers in Halstad, Minn.; Cumberland, Wis.; Detroit Lakes, Minn.; Worthington, Minn.; and Fargo, where he spent 19 and a half years. A police reporter at heart, he has covered everything from state government to the arts and has interviewed everyone from senators to murderers. He came to Extra Media in September 2007 as the company’s first managing editor. He writes a weekly cover story and a column for the FM Extra, edits copy and contributes to Extra Media’s other publications. Pantera lives in Fargo.

Soo Asheim
Soo has been with the Fm Extra since its inception in 2002. In a long career that has included writing for other publications as well as publishing her own newsletter and co-hosting a daily radio show, Soo has become well known for her passionate views and her interest in local politics. Soo and her family live in Moorhead.

Tom 'The Roadrunner' Blair
Tom, aka The Roadrunner, was a well known radio personality in the Fargo-Moorhead area for many years. Along with his broadcasting career, Tom has enjoyed trying his hand at various occupations from law enforcement to sales. Tom’s has a “common sense” approach to the world’s problems, and his many life experiences have given him the inspiration for his popular weekly column.
