4th of July Celebration, 10:00 am @ Bonanzaville in West Fargo. Join us on July 4th for a day packed with family friendly fun! We kick off the event with a historic shooting of the anvil! We will have games, live historic demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, crafts for the kids, face painting, bouncy houses, food, a parade at 2pm, Red River Trivia at 3pm and so much more! fireworks at dark! Regular admission prices apply, military get in free with ID. $6-$12.

15th Annual Salute to America, 4:30 pm @ Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2010 Elm St. N. in Fargo. A celebration of our independence, dedicated to those who made it happen. This year’s program will focus on The War of 1812. Traditional sing-a-longs, lessons in history, skits, along with organ, piano, vocal, and bassoon music, will be part of this most festive event. Freewill Offering will benefit the Fargo VA’s Suicide Prevention, Creative Arts/ Art Therapy, and Pet Therapy Programs.

Saturday, July 6:
Cormorant Area Art Club’s 22nd Annual Fine Art Show, 10:00 am @ Cormorant Community Center at Cormorant Village, MN. Twenty-five regional artists will display a wide variety of watercolors, acrylics, alcohol inks, and oil paintings, pine needle basketry, prints, cards and gift items. Member artists are from Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo, ND, Audubon, Detroit Lakes, Hawley, Lake Park, and Pelican Rapids, MN areas.

Nerd Dependence Day, 1:00 pm @ Paradox Comics & Cards at 26 Roberts St. N. in Fargo. Let your nerd flag fly! This summer, we celebrate Nerd-Dependence Day Weekend, your inner nerd, and most of all your right to be whoever you want to be! All weekend: Board Game and Comics Sales. All weekend: Magic the Gathering M20 Prerelease. Friday Evening: Stranger Things RPG Demos. Saturday Evening: Board Game and D-n-D Demos. Saturday Night: Open gaming.

Each G.O.T event starts with a party that includes face painting, an art project, a DJ and so much more! Don’t forget your chairs because following each party, you’re invited to stick around for a feature movie on the big inflatable screen or a live concert in the park. And the best part is the event is free!

Wednesday, July 10:
Look to the Stars, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Learn all about stars, planets and space travel and enjoy a solar system exploration activity with Scarlet Gray Bernard, a NASA-JPL Volunteer Outreach Program Solar System Ambassador and member of the Fargo-Moorhead Astronomy Club.
