First Annual Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Fair

DARE Officer Ethan Meehan (shown) demonstrated the wisdom of wearing safety belts with the department’s new roll-over simulator. With a dummy behind the wheel and other dummies aboard, the simulator spins and sends them flying out the window — a reminder of what happens to unbelted passengers in a real-life accident. Dozens of Moorhead parents brought their children to the Moorhead Police Department’s first annual Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Fair.
