Book Sale:

Location: Moorhead Public Library

Cost: Free

The Friends of the Moorhead Library will host a Used Book Sale in the lower level of the Moorhead Public Library. Hundreds of materials will be available for purchase including many adult fiction and nonfiction books, periodicals, and more. Items may be purchased by marked price on Friday, and customers may fill a bag with items for $5 on Saturday.

Lenten Fish Fry – Moorhead Knights of Columbus:

Location: St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead

Cost: $10 adults, $5 ages 6-12, free for 5 and younger

Fish, baked potato, vegetable, cole slaw, beverage; take-out orders available.

Special Olympics North Dakota – Cass County Pancake BreakfastLocation: Hope Lutheran Church North Campus at 2900 Broadway in Fargo

Time: 8:00am

Cost: $6

Annual pancake breakfast to raise funds for our local Special Olympics North Dakota athletes throughout Cass County, including some Clay County, MN athletes. The funds will remain here locally and help with transportation, lodging and food costs for our athletes. We do not charge our Special Olympics athletes any money to be involved in our program.

Duck & Goose Storytime:

Location: Barnes and Noble in Fargo

Join us for Storytime featuring New York Times bestselling children’s book Duck & Goose. Duck doesn’t much care for Goose at first, and Goose isn’t fond of Duck. But both want the egg that each claims to be his.

Hitterdal Lions Palm Sunday Brunch:

Location: Hitterdal Community Building

The Hitterdal Lions will be serving their annual Palm Sunday Brunch which includes French toast, pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage. The Ulen-Hitterdal High School Spanish students who will be traveling to Costa Rica in June will be helping the Lions serve. The proceeds from the free will donation will be used both to help fund the U-H Spanish trip and Hitterdal Lions projects.

The members of the Senior High F-M Area Youth Symphony will present a concert that is free and open to the public.

Dad’s Belgian Waffle Feed:

Location: Parkers Prairie High School

Cost: Adults: $7, Children 6-11: $5, Children 5 or younger: free

All-you-can-eat waffles, sausages, toppings and beverages. Carry-out plates are available. Profits go toward the Parkers Prairie eighth grade South Dakota field investigation trip.

Elizabeth Smart – Delta Gamma & Everson Family Lectureship in Values and Ethics:

The Alpha Theta chapter of Delta Gamma is proud to announce our speaker for the 2015 Delta Gamma Foundation/Everson Family Lectureship in Values and Ethics. On Monday, February 23, 2015 the women of Alpha Theta will welcome Elizabeth Smart to the University of North Dakota campus. She will speak at 7:00pm at the Chester Fritz Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Are You Insane?! – Bruce Flaig:
