Nelson’s Pumpkin Patch 2014:

Nelson’s Farm is not only the place to find all your fall produce & Halloween decorations, but also a great place to bring your entire family for a full day of fun! Take a hayride through the woods, walk through the Haunted Hollow Road, feed the goats and chickens, find your way out of the pre-school straw maze and if you are brave enough enter the Gruesome Granary Haunted House. They still have the two-acre corn maze, however if you are looking for more of a challenge this year they have a Ten Acre Spider Web Corn Maze! They also have games, shopping, concessions and much, much more!

The Pumpkin Patch:

Location: Dakota Carriage Co. at 7414 40th Ave. N in Fargo

Date: October 16 – 26

Time: Fridays 3:00 – 6:00pm, Saturdays 11:00 – 6:00pm, Sunday 1:00 – 6:00pm. Also open Thurs Oct 16 & Fri Oct 17 from 1:00 – 6:00pm.

Cost: $5 on Fridays, $6 on Saturdays and Sundays

Areas largest fall festival. One gate admission for over 20 attractions including horse wagon rides, 3 acre corn maze, 9 holes of mini golf, barrel train rides, old west town, and petting zoo. Come play for the day. Only five miles North of West Fargo.

Scottish Rite Language Center Rummage Sale:

Location: Scottish Rite Language Center at 1405 3rd St. N in Fargo

Date: October 17

Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm

Cost: Free

Proceeds provide free speech therapy to preschool children.

Movie Magic Make-Up for Kids:

Location: Fargo Public Library Carlson Branch

Date: October 17

Time: 1:00 and 3:00pm

Cost: Free

Learn the tricks of the movie make-up trade just in time for Halloween when actor, director, and designer Arch Ellwein shares Hollywood special effects makeup secrets. Watch as he transforms volunteers with startling, sometimes gruesome, results. For school-age kids up through 6th grade. No registration is required.

Fall Book Sale:

Location: Fargo Public Library Main

Date: October 17 – 18

Time: Fri from 3:30 – 5:30pm and Sat from 9:00am – 5:00pm

Cost: Free

Friends of the Fargo Public Library Fall Book Sale.

Pancake Breakfast:

Location: Masonic Family Center at 1815 11th St. N. in Moorhead

Date: October 18

Time: 7:00 – 11:00am

Cost: $7

Buttermilk or Swedish pancakes, eggs, sausage, coffee and orange juice. Proceeds benefit Masonic community events and projects.

Scottish Rite Language Center Rummage Sale and Breakfast:

Myra Museum Craft and Bake Sale:

Location: Grand Forks County Historical Society Myra Museum

Time: 9:00am

Cost: Free

Annual craft sale and fresh baked goods.

Lutefisk and Meatball Supper:

Location: Faith Lutheran Church in West Fargo

Date: October 18

Time: 3:30pm

Cost: $5 – $15

Family style meal of lutefisk, meatballs and gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, coleslaw, lefse, rommegrot, and cookies.

The Big One Craft Show:

Location: Civic Auditorium in Fargo

Date: October 18 – 19

Time: Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm, Sunday 11:00am – 4:00pm

Cost: $3

Over 240 booths showcasing products hand made from across the U.S., arts, crafts, baked goods, etc.

Fashion it Forward:

Location: Scheels in Grand Forks

Date: October 19

Time: 7:00pm

Cost: $10

Join us for an evening of fun and pampering- all for a good cause! Shop for the latest fashions in women’s clothing and shoes, treat yourself with services offered from area vendors (like hair, makeup, and massage), and take your very own “Fashion Shot.” Register to win a $500 Shopping Spree sponsored by UPS! Limited tickets will be sold for this 18+ “Women’s Only” event, and you must have a ticket to enter. They are $10/piece (cash only) and may be purchased at Customer Service inside of Scheels. All ticket proceeds go towards the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC).
