Thursday, Nov 22:
Community Thanksgiving Dinner, 11:00 am @ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 218 S. 10th St. We are pleased to announce that the Community Thanksgiving Dinner is back! The churches of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Trinity Lutheran Church, both Moorhead, have once again teamed up to provide a free meal to those who might be alone on Thanksgiving Day. Join us at the table from 11 am – 1 pm

Friday, Nov 23:
Moorhead High Theater presents: Disney’s “Newsies,” 7:30 pm @ Moorhead High School Auditorium. The show is based on the historical newsboy strike of 1899 that shook the ivory towers of William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer. It leaps onto the stage with soul stirring music, amazing heart, and stunning choreography. $7-$11.

Live Music feat. Gina Powers, 9:00 pm @ Junkyard Brewing Company at 1416 1st Ave. N. Live Music by local artists every night at the taproom. Free.

Saturday, Nov 24:
Pancake Breakfast, 7:00 am @ Masonic Family Center at 1815 11th St. N. Cost is $8 for all you can eat buttermilk and Swedish pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

Lego Club, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. All ages and abilities are welcome to come make their own Lego creation at our Lego Club. Supplies provided to build, but make sure to bring your imagination!

Economic Development Authority Meeting, 11:45 am @ City Hall in Moorhead Center Mall.

Ask a Techspert, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Come to an open computer lab to practice your technology skills. Staff will be available to assist and answer your questions. Free.

City Council Meeting, 5:30 pm @ City Hall in Moorhead Center Mall.

Origami Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. All ages and abilities are welcome to come practice the skill of paper folding with fellow origami enthusiasts. Basic materials are provided. Free.

Moorhead School Board Meeting, 7:00 pm @ Probstfield Center for Education.

Arc Dances, 7:15 pm @ Ellen Hopkins Elementary School. Dances for people with disabilities, their families, support staff, and the entire community. Everyone is welcome to dance and socialize. DJ provides the music. Free.

Tuesday, Nov 27:
Park Advisory Board Meeting, 4:00 pm @ City Hall in the Moorhead Center Mall.

Chess Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. All skill levels welcome. Chess boards and books will be provided. Free.

Storytime, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Stories, songs, and poems on a weekly theme plus a craft at the end! Program runs about an hour. Free.

Moorhead Friends Writing Group, 7:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. The Friends of the Moorhead Library are sponsoring a local writing group. Come share your work, discuss ideas, and network with other writers.

MBA’s Let’s Talk Business ~ Hands-only CPR, 12:00 pm @ Speak Easy Restaurant. Speaker~ Kristi Engelstad, BS, NRP – Clinical Learning & Development Specialist. F-M Ambulance Service received a grant to promote hands-only CPR in our community. They are looking for business owners to learn hands-only CPR and then take the kit from them and show their employees how to do hands-only CPR. Help increase the survival rate for sudden cardiac arrest in our community.
