Thursday, June 20:
Midsommar Celebration, 6:00 pm @ Oak Grove Lutheran School at 124 N. Terrace in Fargo. Swedish Society potluck – bring an item to share. Scandinavian music, dance around the maypole. Free will offering.

Friday, June 21:
Tennis Carnival, 9:00 am @ Moorhead High School Tennis Courts. Join us for a fun-filled day of tennis! Enjoy a variety of activities to test your skills and win prizes! Youth of all ages and skills are invited. Participants do not have to be in our tennis program to join in the fun! This event is free and open to all!

Scandinavian and Viking Festival, 10:00 am @ Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. Scandinavian music, food, vendors, large Lego exhibit, demonstration and hands-on Legos for children inside. Outside a Viking encampment, example of Viking tools, artists, and interactive events for children. $15 for adults, children under age 18 free.

River Pointe ~ The Longest Day, 11:00 am @ River Pointe at 2401 11th St. S. in Moorhead. The Longest Day is the day with the most light – the Summer Solstice. Join us to raise funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Hot dog, chips, and purple lemonade for $2, live music, and outdoor games.

Summer Kick Off Parking Lot Party, 4:00 pm @ Parking lot in front of Great Northern Insurance at 675 13th Ave. E. in West Fargo. Join Three Lyons Pub and the ND Autism Center for a Summer Kick Off Parking Lot Party. There will be games for all ages, music, door prizes, drinks, and food including gluten free and vegetarian options. Proceeds directly benefit children with autism in our community. Free.

100th Birthday Celebration of the Moorhead American Legion, 4:00 pm @ Moorhead American Legion at 303 30th St. N. Meat raffles, bingo, music on the patio. Free.

Saturday, June 22:

Lego Club, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. People of all ages and creative ability are welcome to come make their own Lego creation. Supplies provided. Free.

Sunday, June 23:
100th Birthday Celebration of the Moorhead American Legion, 9:00 am @ Moorhead American Legion at 303 30th St. N. Pancake breakfast, silent auction and bake sale, 50/50 raffle drawing, all day legion baseball reunion. Free.

Monday, June 24:

Origami Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. All ages and abilities are welcome to come practice the skill of paper folding with fellow Origami enthusiasts. Basic materials are provided. Free.

Tuesday, June 25:
Go Hawaiian for Hospice, 11:00 am @ Choice Bank at 4501 23rd Aver. S. in Fargo. Join us for the seventh annual luau lunch. For a suggested donation of $5, attendees will feast on a pig roast and a side, fresh pineapple, Hawaiian Punch and a frozen treat. All proceeds directly benefit Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Moorhead Farmers Market, 3:00 pm @ Moorhead Center Mall. Get Fresh. Go Local. Items for sale include fresh vegetables, fruit, baked goods, honey, jams, jellies, pet products, hand crafted items, food trucks, music and so much more. Free.

River Arts, 5:30 pm @ Memorial Park at 210 8th St. N. in Moorhead. There’s always something to enjoy at Moorhead RiverArts! Each night features free horse-drawn carriage rides, inflatable games, food, hands-on activities, and more! All concerts begin at 6 pm. June 25: Performance by Jessica Vines and Conner Lee and Barrel Car Rides.

Chess Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join chess players of every level for a chess skill share. Chess boards and books will be provided. Free.

Wednesday, June 26:
MBA’s Let’s Talk Business, 12:00 pm @ Speak Easy Restaurant in Moorhead. Speakers: Jane Amble and Violet Deilke – “What is happening with the Clay Jail Ministry and the new correctional facility.” Also, a testimonial from one of the men benefiting from the ministry.

“The Wizard of Oz” with the Gooseberry Park Players, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Enjoy selections of the upcoming musical “The Wizard of Oz” with the Gooseberry Park Players, the area’s only fee-free summer theater program for students ages 11-18. Free.

River Paddling Excursion – Animals and Habitats, 6:00 pm @ Hjemkomst Landing at 202 1sat Ave. N. in Moorhead. Take a relaxing downtown river tour as local guest speakers share their expertise. June 26: Animals and Habitats, hosted by Nicole Lee. Learn about the many habitats of wildlife living along the river. Fees: $10/person if you own your own vessel $15/person for canoe/kayak rental.
