State Patrol Ranks

Question:Could you please tell me the State Patrol rankings from highest to lowest please.

Answer: The Minnesota State Patrol is comprised of persons designated by law, as the Chief Supervisor, Chief Assistant Supervisor, Assistant Supervisors, and Troopers. To clarify, the Colonel is the head of the organization, followed by the Lieutenant Colonel. The command staff is further filled out with Majors. The district commanders are Captains. Each district has several field supervisors, Lieutenants. Each station has one sergeant. The troopers are the first rank, and make up the largest contingent in the organization.

A portion of state statutes were used with permission from the Office of the Revisor of Statutes.
