Thursday, Oct 31:
Community Halloween Carnival, 3:30 – 5:30 pm @ Courts Plus Community Fitness at 3491 S. University Dr. in Fargo. This free Community Carnival is for children of all ages. There is Inflatable Games from Games Galore, Carnival Games, Face Painting & Art Projects by the Fargo South Art Club, Trick-or-Treat Bags, Candy, Candy, and More Candy. The Carnival is free and open to the Public.

Downtown West Fargo Halloween Treat Street, 3:30 – 5:30 pm @ Sheyenne St. in Downtown West Fargo. Bring your little ghost and goblins for some Halloween fun at the POW/MIA Plaza and surrounding Downtown West Fargo Businesses. Free.

8th Annual Trunk or Treat, 5:00 pm @ Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2010 Elm St. N. in Fargo. Bring the whole family out to enjoy a fun night including a free hot dog meal, game, crafts and lots of treats for the kids. Treats in the south parking lot. Games & meal in the Activity Room. Free.

Haunted Mall, 5:00 pm @ Moorhead Center Mall. Enjoy an evening of trick-or-treating in a safe, controlled environment, that offers an alternative option for families on Halloween night. Activities planned include trick-or-treating throughout the mall, scary and not-so-scary spaces, pumpkin decorating, photo booth, a Magic-Show, and a variety of crafts and hands-on activities for kids and families. Free.

BOOtiful Night: Trick or Treating Event, 5:30 – 7:30 pm @ West Acres Mall in Fargo. Dress up your trick-or-treating tikes & bring the whole family out for a BOOtiful night of Halloween festivities: Trick-or-treating at participating stores, balloon animals, and free family photos. Bring a non-perishable food item and be entered in a drawing for a $50 mall card. One entry per person. All items will be donated to the Great Plains Food Bank’s BackPack program. Free.

Friday, Nov 1:
Fall Library Book Sale, 11:00 am Friday, 9:00 am Saturday, and 1:00 pm Sunday @ All Fargo Libraries. Items for sale include books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and other miscellaneous materials. All proceeds go to the library.

MSUM Percussion Ensemble: A Night of Heavy Metal, 7:30 pm @ Hansen Theatre at MSUM. The Fall 2019 Fuego Tropical Concert directed by Dr. Kenyon Williams. Featuring special guest artists, The Varying Degrees Trio. $5-$7.

Saturday, Nov 2:
Fall Craft/Vendor Show Fundraiser, 9:00 am @ Moorhead American Legion.

MSUM Graphic Design Creative Shorts, 6:00 pm @ MSUM Center for Business. The MSUM School of Media Arts & Design presents Graphic Design Creative Shorts (short films). Free.

Sunday, Nov 3:

Open Skate, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Sports Center. Admission is $2 for kids (age 17 and under), $3 for adults, and $5 for family skate. There is limited skate rental available for $1.

The Concordia Orchestra Concert, 2:00 pm @ Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. The Concordia Orchestra performs its Home Concert concluding its fall tour. Free.

Monday, Nov 4:

MBA’s Let’s Talk Business, 7:00 am @ Fryn’ Pan Family Restaurant in Moorhead. Speaker: Rob Gramer, Executive Director Moorhead Youth Hockey Association.

16th Annual Fargo/Moorhead Caregiver Conference, 12:30 pm @ Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. The conference, scheduled from 12:30-3:45 p.m., features expert panelists on variety of caregiving topics. Heather Bryant, geri-primary care and dementia coordinator with the Fargo VA Health Care System, will present “Caregiver as Part of the Medical Team.” Stephen Astrup, regulatory and project counsel with Hospice of the Red River Valley, will present “An Overview of Long-Term Care Planning.” In addition, Linda Lammers, owner of Change is Good, will present “So That’s Where That Is.” Light refreshments will be served. Area vendors also will be on-site during the event. On-site respite care services will be available so caregivers can attend the event. Please indicate your needs when registering.
