Love Downtown Moorhead – Open House, 4:30 pm @ Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. Join Downtown Moorhead Inc. for an Open House to share your ideas about the Moorhead Downtown Master Plan. They want to hear from you about what you love about Downtown today and your vision for the future. They will identify existing conditions, issues, opportunities in a family-friendly event. This is the first public event for the project.

Trails at Stonemill Park Carnival, 5:30 pm @ Trails at Stonemill Park at 4449 Blue Stem Way in Moorhead. South Moorhead has a hidden gem that we want you to check out! Bring your family and friends out for a magic show, yard games, relay races, food, and so much more! Admission is free!

LEGO Club, 6:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. All ages and abilities are welcome to come make their own Lego creation at our Lego Club. Supplies provided to build, but make sure to bring your imagination. Free.

NAMI Minnesota Mental Illness Support Group, 6:30 pm @ Christ the King Lutheran Church at 1900 14th St. S. in Moorhead. Led by trained facilitators who also have a family member with mental illness, the support groups help families develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences.

Presentation on Women’s Suffrage in Minnesota, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. We’re celebrating the 100-year anniversary of Minnesota’s passing of the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote. Free.

Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work Luncheon: “Precious Coins: The Currency and Collateral of Vocational Ministry,” 11:30 am @ Barry Auditorium at Concordia College in Moorhead. $25.

Saturday, Sept 14:
Red River Run 5K or 15K, 7:30 pm @ Moorhead Center Mall. Join the Lake Agassiz Pacers for the 45th annual LAP Red River Run! This walk/run has been hitting the streets and paths of Fargo-Moorhead longer than any race in the area.

The Michael Kaspari Memorial RUN for RECOVERY, 9:00 am @ MB Johnson Park at 3601 11th St. N. in Moorhead.

Indoor Variety Market, 10:00 am @ Moorhead Center Mall. The event will feature vendors selling antiques, household goods, baked goods, arts and crafts, and food and beverages, all throughout the mall’s hallways. Free.

4st Annual Stroll Along the Red – Fundraiser Walk and Silent Auction, 12:00 pm @ Main Shelter at Lindenwood Park in Fargo. Registration and silent auction begin at 11:00 am. Come join us for a fun 1-mile walk, music, snacks, silent auction, and other festivities happening before and after the Walk.

Author Visit Featuring Frank Weber, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Frank F. Weber is an award-winning forensic psychologist and author of the Minnesota murder mysteries “Murder Book” and “The I-94 Murders”, based around fictional investigator Jon Frederick.

Join us for a viewing of Resilience, a one-hour documentary that illustrates the impacts of chronic stress on children’s brains. Toxic stress endured in childhood is among the leading causes of everything from cancer and heart disease to substance abuse and depression. A short discussion will follow.
