Moorhead Community Fund Advisory Committee Meeting: 7:30 am. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. 

Moorhead Business Association Non-Profit Connect: 7:30 – 8:30 am. Village Inn at 940 Holiday Dr. in Moorhead. 

Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Lecture: Fargo-Moorhead’s Early Art Scene: 6:00 – 7:30 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Markus Krueger of the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will introduce you to some little-known artists like Annie Stein, Orabel Thortvedt, and Erik Ahlberg, who worked in our area in the late-1800s and early-1900s. We will examine how they were trained, where they got their supplies, where they showed their work, and how they made a living. Free.

FMVA Big Art Exhibition: 6:00 – 8:00 pm. West Acres Shopping Center West Wing. Exhibition runs through April 30.

54th Annual Hawley Art Show & Sale: Thursday 6:30 – 9:00 pm, Friday 1:00 – 8:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am – 8:00 pm, and Sunday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. This event has become a favorite among area artists and art lovers. Live music and artist demonstrations are added features on Thursday and Sunday. Free.

Storytime and Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Moorhead Local Board of Appeal & Equalization Meeting: 6:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead.

Join us to create a variety of art projects. All creative materials are provided, adult supervision is required, and no registration is needed.  

United Hearts for Haiti Annual Fundraiser Chili Event: 1:30 – 4:30 pm. 121 17th St. N. in Moorhead. Support the poorest of the poor in Haiti through education, ministry, and nutrition. $10. Any donations welcome.

Jolene Brown Benefit: 1:00 – 5:00 pm. Labby’s Grill & Bar at 1100 19th Ave. N. in Fargo. Join friends and family to support Jolene Brown who is battling stage IV metastatic colon cancer.  Money raised will help with all medical bills, including treatment expenses and prescription costs.

Friends of the Moorhead Library Spring Social: 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join the Friends of the Moorhead Public Library for a Spring Social featuring entertainment by jazz guitar duo Twelve Strings, light appetizers, a book sale and an auction of art and rare books. Free. All are welcome.

World Book Night Celebration: 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo. Gather to hear readings from official 2023 World Book Night books, which feature a diverse collection of books with something for everyone. 

Concordia Masterworks Concert: 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. Free.

Monday, April 24

Golden Notes New Horizons Band Spring Concert: 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Olivet Lutheran Church at 1330 S. University Dr. in Fargo. Concert featuring a variety of marches, big band music, and movie tunes. Come out and enjoy the music. Free. Donations accepted.

“People of the North” Television Series: 8:00 pm on Prairie Public. A new television series that visits spectacular places across the northern points of Scandinavia. Hosted by Norwegian television personality Arne Hjeltnes, Swedish chef Frida Ronge, and award-winning distiller Stig Bareksten, the team explores the food, culture, land, traditions, and people who live in this isolated part of the world. Free Rock Painting: 3:30 – 7:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. Join a global movement as we paint rocks to hide to make strangers smile. You can keep the rocks you paint, or you can leave them to be labeled, sealed, and sent out into our community. All supplies provided. Wear clothes you are comfortable getting paint on. All ages welcome. Free.

Founding Clay County: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join Markus Krueger from the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County to learn about how Moorhead and Clay County were founded in the 1870s. What treaties allow us to live here? Who put our towns here? Who are they named for? And how did a Wild West gunfight create Clay County’s government? Free.

MSUM Jazz Ensemble with Artist Steve Wiest: 7:30 pm. Weld Auditorium at MSUM. The Ensemble will perform with Grammy-nominated trombonist, composer, author, and cartoonist Steve Wiest. The concert will feature mostly Wiest’s original compositions and arrangements. $10.

Wednesday, April 26
