A true effort of private and public people

As I write this article I have more great news from Bismarck. The ND house of representatives voted 89-3 to pass Senate bill 2265 (supplemental funding for our building at the Fargo National Cemetery) now we just need Governor Armstrongs signature. The project really came together in the most grass roots/ bipartisan conglomeration, A true effort of private and public people coming together to make much needed improvements to our “Arlington National Cemetery of ND”. It has not been all unicorns and rainbows, with many petty jealousies and trivial personalities encountered. Some were quickly neutralized, others were more persistent, and, in the end, the good guys won! Hooah! We will soon be able to offer a nice friendly building. With such things as a chapel, an office, breakrooms and wait for it- bathrooms with heat, running water, and flushable toilets that work all year long, as many know and some do not the structure at the National cemetery as been out of commission since around December and believe me using a porta john that is frozen is no treat.
As we approach the busy season we are seeking volunteers for our honor guard. It you are an honorably discharged Veteran and belong to a service organization, I encourage you to come out and join us. We will supply uniforms and training. The payment while not monetary in nature is one of the best feelings you will ever experience. To me and many of us, it is a priceless duty. One that cannot be paid in dollars.
I encourage all to follow us on Facebook, Fargo Memorial Honor Guard. We are a very dedicated group that loves our Country and our community.
