Greetings everyone

Veteran’s Corner

Tom Krabbenhoft

Its Labor Day Weekend already and the traditional close of summer is on us.

On 9/11 at Broadway Square from 10 – 2 there will be a Veterans Stand down. You can receive information on the PACT Act, healthcare, VA enrollment, talk to County Veterans Services Officers and much more.

Live music and a free lunch will be provided from 11-1. Hope to see you there.

I recently met a young man, Jason Igo. He was in the Marines, deployed to Iraq and had quite the tour. Baghdad, the Battles of Fallujah and Ramadi.

He came home to his family. Divorce sadly finds military members at an astonishingly high rate, and it found him. He went through a vicious divorce and a couple of bad relationships. He found himself homeless on a rudderless ship in a storm.

Thankfully he found his bearing. In 2016 he started utilizing VA benefits. He found himself attending and completing school and finding himself in a supportive relationship.

He started his own business, a mobile mechanic. His business is called “Igo 2 U Mobile Mechanic LLC.” Phone 218-443-6939.

Talking with him he has a transport company that calls on him whenever they get to town.

Nothing better than seeing a brother in arms climbing out from rock bottom.

Congratulations Jason and continued luck moving forward.
