Fargo, ND – Angel Food Ministries (www.angelfoodministries.com), an organization dedicated to providing affordable, high quality food to those in need, is now offering relief and joy to families in the Fargo – Moorhead area.
In response to current economic conditions, there is a greater need for Angel Food’s services nationwide. Expansion of services to the people of the Red River Valley is an example of the amplified need for quality, affordable food, which is the core of Angel Food’s mission. Angel Food provides individuals and families with fresh, brand name food for a fraction of the retail price. By purchasing food in bulk, directly from some of the top suppliers in the country, food is discounted by up to 50% of retail. A standard medium sized box of food may be purchased for only $35, and contains top quality food staples from every food group, including chicken, pork or beef, milk, eggs, vegetables and fruits. Each of these regular boxes of food retails at an average of $65 locally and assists in feeding a family of four for about a week or a single individual for almost a month. The larger Bountiful Blessings family box costs $46 and retails locally for around $85.
The menu selections vary each month, and consist of both fresh and frozen items, saving Americans money with no sacrifice of quality. Summer meat specials are always a big hit, and there’s even an allergen free box geared towards those who suffer from the eight most common food allergies including gluten.
Angel Food Ministries’ service is available to anyone. There are no income requirements, and we also accept EBT card food stamps. There are no limits to the quantity of boxes per individual, nor are there any applications or qualifications for eligibility. Simply order and pay online, then pick up your box(es) at our once a month distribution, usually the fourth Saturday of the month from 3 to 4 pm.
Currently, there are two host sites in the F-M area; Metropolitan Baptist Church located at 2612 25th St S in Fargo, and Shepherd of The Prairie Church 6151 25th St S. also in Fargo, with other churches interested in downtown Fargo and Jamestown ND.
