EVENTIDE SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES TO COMBINE WITH TABITHA SENIOR CARE
MOORHEAD & LINCOLN, NE – September 4, 2024 – Eventide Senior Living Communities and Tabitha Senior Care have announced plans to combine under an affiliation agreement. The affiliation is expected to become effective October 1, 2024, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the final agreement. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone for both organizations, aimed at enhancing their ability to serve and support seniors in aging well across the Midwest.
Each operate a network of campuses and services. Eventide Senior Living Communities is headquartered in Moorhead, Minnesota, serving western Minnesota and eastern North Dakota and Tabitha Senior Care, based in Lincoln, Nebraska, provides support throughout eastern Nebraska. Both organizations offer a continuum of care for older adults, including 55+ active adult lifestyle apartments, independent senior living apartments, assisted living, memory care, transitional/rehabilitation care, long-term, skilled nursing, home health and hospice.

MOORHEAD LIBRARY SCHEDULES SALE OF USED BOOKS & AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR MANUALS
MOORHEAD – The Friends of the Moorhead Public Library have scheduled a sale of used books at the Moorhead Public Library from September 12-14 The Book Sale will be held in the lower level of the Moorhead Public Library, 118 5th St. S., on Thursday, September 12 from 5-8 p.m., Friday, September 13 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, September 14 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Items will be individually priced on Thursday and Friday and will be sold for $5 per bag on Saturday. All proceeds will be used to support the library.
Plus, join Lake Agassiz Regional Library for a special sale of Car Repair Manuals, including models by Chilton Book Company and Mitchell Manuals, Inc. A number of manuals will be available with a full list of titles available at larl.org/events. Please note that this list should not be considered a full list of what is available – the best bet is to visit the sale and see what’s available. The manuals will be available for sale during the Book Sale and will be sold for $10 per manual.

FARGO POLICE DEPARTMENT’S TRAFFIC SAFETY TEAM BEGINS HEIGHTENED ENFORCEMENT OF DRIVING LAWS
*FARGO – The Fargo Police Department (FPD) has reconstituted its Traffic Safety Team to increase enforcement of driving laws and to curb dangerous, illegal driving. This week, officers on the team are beginning heightened enforcement efforts across the city, with a focus on making streets safer for all residents and visitors. The team will patrol high-traffic areas of Fargo and will respond to community concerns regarding speeding, racing, exhibition driving, loud mufflers and other illegal behavior.
“The creation of a team of officers solely dedicated to traffic safety will help the FPD consistently enforce driving laws throughout the community, while our other officers continue to respond to a high volume of calls for service,” stated Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski. “Along with proactive enforcement, the Traffic Safety Team will educate residents to deter violations and apply data to prevent traffic crashes and decrease impaired driving.”

GAME NIGHT FOR ADULTS AT THE MOORHEAD LIBRARY
MOORHEAD – The Moorhead Public Library has scheduled an event for adults looking to play games and chat with one another. The program is scheduled Monday, September 16 at 6 p.m. at the Moorhead Public Library, as part of an ongoing Monday Meetups.
Scheduled Mondays at 6 p.m., additional program topics include: creating bookmarks on September 30, crafting on October 7 and more. A full calendar can be found at larl.org/events.
The Moorhead Public Library is located at 118 5th St. S. All events are offered free-of-charge.

LAKE AGASSIZ PACERS HOST 50TH ANNUAL RED RIVER RUN SEPTEMBER 14TH
MOORHEAD – The Lake Agassiz Pacers are excited to announce the 50th Annual Red River Run, taking place on September 14th, at M.B. Johnson Park in Moorhead, MN. This event is one of the oldest continuous races in the region and will raise funds for Moorhead’s Inclusive Playground at Southside Regional Park. Lake Agassiz Pacers has already donated over $5,500 for Phase 1 of the project. Saturday’s proceeds will support Phase 2, a fence to ensure a safe and secure environment for all visitors.
This year’s race includes a 5K and 15K run through the trails at M.B. Johnson Park. Packet pickup will begin at 8:00 AM with race announcements and a warm-up by Revolution Trainers at 8:50 AM before starting the race at 9:00 AM.
“The Red River Run is a tradition we’re proud to carry on,” said Charles Elhard, board president of the Lake Agassiz Pacers. “It’s incredible to think that this race has been going on for 50 years. We’re excited to continue our mission of inspiring and promoting running for people of all ages and abilities.”

MSUM LIBRARY AND LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF THE RED RIVER VALLEY TO HOST VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE
MOORHEAD – On September 17, 2024, the League of Women Voters of the Red River Valley (LWVRRV) and the MSUM Livingston Lord Library will join a coalition of thousands of partners across the country who will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a coordinated democracy blitz aimed at getting every eligible American registered to vote in advance of Election 2024!
Members of LWVRRV and MSUM Student Senate will be on hand at the MSUM Livingston Lord Library lobby area to assist with registration and answer questions about voting rules, the different options for voting in your state, and more. There will be free swag while supplies last.
Every eligible citizen should have the option to exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box, and with well over 5 million registered voters to its name since 2012, National Voter Registration Day is the perfect day to start getting America #VoteReady for Election 2024.
