COMPOST SITE AND CURBSIDE GRASS PICKUP TO END

The last day to drop off brush, yard waste and wood debris as well as curbside grass pickup is Friday, November 21.

MOORHEAD – The City Compost Site will be closing for the season on Friday, November 21. Moorhead residents and businesses can bring brush, yard waste and wood debris to the site. Any woody debris larger than 8 inches in diameter is subject to a disposal site fee. As a reminder, branches cannot be taken to recycling drop sites. Friday will also be the last day for curbside grass pickup for the season (branch pickup is still open and can be scheduled).

Compost Site location:

1800 Hwy 75 N (Just north of Centennial Park baseball fields, right on Hwy 75)

Drop off hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 4:15 pm

FARGO PUBLIC LIBRARY TO HOST “TRAIN DAY AT THE LIBRARY”

FARGO – The Fargo Public Library will celebrate National Model Railroad Month by hosting “Train Day at the Library” at the downtown Main Library (101 4th St. N.) on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Red River Modules Model Railroad Club members will display and demonstrate model trains, including a unique LEGO train set, in the Community Room from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. Club members will be available to answer questions about the trains, the display and the hobby of modular railroading, which combines modular trains and miniature scenery to make unique track configurations. Kids are invited to create a train-themed craft throughout the day. All ages are welcome to participate. No pre-registration is required, and all materials will be provided.
