KASSI SOFFERMAN ANNOUNCES BID FOR MOORHEAD MAYOR

MOORHEAD – Kassi Sofferman, a local social worker and founder of the nonprofit Midwest Family Support and Advocacy, officially launched her campaign for Mayor of Moorhead on Monday. “As a mom with three kids, and as a social worker who’s worked for years to help others, I’ve seen firsthand the needs in our community and where progress can be made. I know families are struggling, and our city staff need support from their city leadership, too. I’m up to the task, and I want to improve the quality of life for our people.”

Speaking to her vision for Moorhead, Sofferman offered the following: “We need to be a welcoming community, while ensuring that our city’s services and offerings are top notch. We have such potential to not only help those in need, but also lessen the burden of our hardworking families. I want to be a mayor for the people who are struggling. As a mayor for the people, I envision that role as one bringing our city staff and our residents to the table. I will be a collaborative and supportive mayor.”
