FM Frosted Drive-Thru Food Truck Fest rolls into MCM parking ramp this weekend

Event times: Fri. Feb. 26th 3-8pm, Sat. Feb. 27th 11am-8pm, Sun. Feb. 28th 11am-6pm.

This Event’s vendors: Bismarck Big Boy (Sat. & Sun. only), Driftwood Grill, Fargo Fillies, Mac Daddy’s Gourmet Mac & Cheese, Old Tyme Kettle Korn, S&S Specialty Foods, Sweet Dreams Mini Donuts, The Hot Dog Peddler & Windsor Waffles.

No one will be allowed to leave their vehicle. One transaction for every patron’s order (whether your order is from one or all our vendors). Assigned carhop teams will take your order and deliver to your vehicle through designated order and delivery zones.

Carhops and delivery teams will consist of local non-profit & youth volunteers working for tips, who have not been able to normally raise money due to the pandemic.

Credit card or exact cash accepted only; no change will be given. Staff and event vendors will be responsibly wearing gloves, masks, and disinfecting anything with common touchpoints. $2 admission per vehicle.

Local Girl Scout troops will be on hand each day selling Girl Scout cookies.

Scholarships available for high school students pursuing trades careers

FARGO – Home Builders Care of Fargo-Moorhead Foundation’s scholarship application for high school students is now available at www.hbcfm.com on the Scholarships page.

Deadline to apply is March 26, 2021. Scholarship amounts will be awarded at a $500 minimum.

Applicants must plan to enroll in residential construction trades or a related field (plumbing, electrical, building construction technology, construction management, heating/air conditioning, etc.) at Minnesota State Community and Technical College-Moorhead or North Dakota State College of Science-Wahpeton.

Contemporary Mental Health Issues Topic of CEHS Visiting Scholar Lecture

MOORHEAD – Wonderlich, Ph.D., Co-Director of the Eating Disorder and Weight Management Center at Sanford Health, will present two free livestream sessions on Contemporary Mental Health Issues: Strategies and Approaches, Thursday, March 4. Wonderlich, the Chester Fritz Distinguished Professor at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences, is the 2021 Visiting Scholar for Minnesota State University Moorhead’s College of Education and Human Services. He is also Vice President at Sanford Research and Co-Director of the Center for Biobehavioral Research.  

5:00 to 6:30 p.m. | Wonderlich will focus on childhood trauma, maltreatment, adversity and mental health, and support to address these issues in our community. 

7:00 to 8:30 p.m. | Wonderlich’s second session focuses on adult mental health and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will address mental health specific to rural areas in the Northwest United States and highlight resources and future considerations regarding adult mental health.
