The State of Minnesota requires cities to review properties every five years to ensure the Assessor’s Office has current and accurate information for use in valuation. In order to ensure the safety of all residents, an appraiser will view and photograph building exteriors only, and will not be knocking on doors to request an interior inspection as in the past. Appraisers will carry City identification, but will avoid interaction with residents in order to maintain the safety and health of city staff and residents.
If you have any questions or would like to confirm any data regarding the interior of your home (since interiors will not be physically inspected), please call the Assessor’s Office at 218.299.5344.
