Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Veterans Memorial Event: 3:00 – 7:00 pm. Bonanzaville at 1351 Main Ave. W. in West Fargo. The event kicks off with the national anthem and includes a free BBQ picnic prepared by veterans. The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band will perform, and our guest speaker is Trudy Maninga, along with her husband, Howard. The helicopter will be landing here in our front parking lot. Free admission to the pioneer village and museum starting at 3 pm!

Three Rivers Garden Club Spring Plant Sale: 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Red River Church Parking Lot at 607 9th St. E. in West Fargo. We are expecting perennials, annuals, bulbs, herbs, house plant, pollinator friendly plants including milk weed and more to be available. Expert gardeners will be available to help answer questions. Donations for the plants are used to fund club activities such as Yard of the month and an annual donation to the NDSU Horticulture student who displays leadership in promoting horticultural science.

“Masterpiece” Television Series: 8:00 pm on Prairie Public. One of the greatest novels in the English language comes to television on “Masterpiece” in a four-part adaptation of Henry Fielding’s Tom Jones, bringing mid-18th-century England to life in all its passion and prejudice, luxury, and loose morals. “People of the North” Television Series: 8:00 pm on Prairie Public. A new television series that visits spectacular places across the northern points of Scandinavia. Hosted by Norwegian television personality Arne Hjeltnes, Swedish chef Frida Ronge, and award-winning distiller Stig Bareksten, the team explores the food, culture, land, traditions, and people who live in this isolated part of the world. Free Rock Painting: 3:30 – 7:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. Join a global movement as we paint rocks to hide to make strangers smile! You can keep the rocks you paint, or you can leave them to be labeled, sealed, and sent out into our community. All supplies provided. Wear clothes you are comfortable getting paint on. All ages welcome. Free.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Help your child develop exceptional reading skills by bringing them to Storytime. Afterward, kids can create simple crafts to take home. Free.

Wednesday, May 31

Storytime: 10:30 – 11:15 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests and more. Storytime typically lasts for 45 minutes and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.

Monstrous Imagination: 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Forest River Park at Forest River Dr. in Fargo. Join us at this art-focused event to put your imagination to the test. Attendees have a chance to create their very own monsters plus go on a monster hike to see if they can locate any monster evidence along the trails at Forest River. Free.

“Wild Scandinavia” Television Series: 7:00 pm on Prairie Public. “Wild Scandinavia” immerses us in three iconic Scandinavian landscapes: the hauntingly beautiful coast, the magical seasonal forests, and the volcanic and arctic extremes. Surprising wildlife stories of lynx and puffins, orca, and wolves, reveal the resilient spirit of Scandinavia. Myth and modernity co-exist: Odin and Thor, base jumpers, and reindeer herders are all woven into this icy natural world. See full schedule at www.prairiepublic.org/television
