Friends of the Moorhead Library Book Sale: Thursday 9:00 am – 9:00 pm and Friday 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. The Friends of the Moorhead Library are hosting a bag sale – purchase a bag of books for $5 during regular library hours. All proceeds support the Moorhead Public Library.

Rink Reels: Skating and a Movie: “On Thin Ice”: 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo. Bring (or rent. ) your skates and enjoy a winter-themed movie while skating around the Scheels Skating Rink. Free.

“Prairie Musicians” Presentation: 9:00 pm on Prairie Public Television. Prairie Musicians is back with a new season of concerts from the Prairie Public sound stage. This week: Nicole Jasperse, a songwriter, singer, and instrumentalist from Moorhead, MN, who blends folk and rock music with a unique style of fingerpicking. Concordia College Cultural Events Presents säje in Concert: 7:30 – 8:30 pm. Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. Concordia’s Cultural Events presents the GRAMMY® nominated vocal supergroup, säje (rhymes with “beige”), is the brainchild of vocalist/composers Sara Gazarek, Amanda Taylor, Johnaye Kendrick, and Erin Bentlage. $10-$20.

Saturday, February 11

Saturday Storytime with WDAY Meteorologist Lydia Blume: 10:30 am – 11:15 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Toddlers, preschoolers, and families are invited to Saturday Storytime with special guest WDAY Meteorologist Lydia Blume. Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and activities. Free. 

Dallas Donahue Spaghetti Feed: 12:00 – 4:00 pm. American Legion at 303 30th St. N. in Moorhead. Join us for a Spaghetti Feed/Silent Auction to raise help and hope for Dallas Donahue. Dallas was involved in a motorcycle accident in October and sustained serious injuries.

2nd Annual FrosTAKular: 1:00 pm. TAK Music Venue at 1710 Center Ave. in Dilworth. Let It Go. . .  Come listen, sing along and dance to your favorite Broadway & Disney hits performed live by “The Frosty 6”. Come dressed as your favorite Disney character and receive a ticket for one free concession item. Have your picture taken at the photo booth and stay until the end for the balloon drop. Enjoy our concession area which includes a full bar and snacks available for purchase at both shows. $10-$15.

Sunday, February 12

Concordia Band Home Concert: 2:00 – 3:00 pm. Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College. The Concordia Band concludes its spring tour with this home concert. Free.

Fargo Love: A Community Valentine’s Celebration: 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Come to The Square solo, with your pals or with your special someone to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Free.

Peace Corps Speaker Series: Philippines Presented by Jim Krogh: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. The Peace Corps is a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation. Free.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.

Lego Club: 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for a weekly program to challenge kids’ creativity as they build amazing structures using LEGOs. This event is geared towards ages 5-10. Free.
