Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. The family, the football, the fun. All rolled into one amazing day where we celebrate being thankful. This month, “The Kitchens of Amy and JJ” will feature some recipes that can become new favorites around your gathering table. Bring on the gravy as we go over the river and through the woods to eat up on turkey day!

Baked Brie

This is a simple way to give your charcuterie (cheese) plate a new twist. Baked brie is creamy and gives your plate something warm to compliment the coolness of other cheeses and meats.

For Baked Brie you will need:

A wheel of brie

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls in a Can

An Egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking sheet.

Beat the egg.

On the greased baking sheet, wrap the brie (don’t worry, the rind is edible!) in four of the Pillsbury crescent rolls (unrolled). Wrap them around to brie wheel until covered. NOTE – Use some of the additional dough to ball up and create a more enticing look. Once wrapped, use a pastry brush and lightly coat the sides and top of the dough (this helps with the browning).

Bake for 15 minutes, should be golden brown. Remove and add to your charcuterie plate. Pair with honey, jam, fruits (craisins are an AWESOME addition) and serve while still warm. You can save what is left and reheat easily at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.
