Red River Veterans Concert Band in Concert:

Location: Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo

The Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band will perform a free concert for residents and guests at Bethany Retirement Living. The concert band’s mission is to promote patriotism through music. The 50 pc band will perform a variety of music.

BeethovenFest: ‘Muss Es Sein’ Performance:

Location: Fargo Public Library – Main

Date: Feb 6 – 8

Time: 4:00pm each day

Cost: Free

“Muss Es Sein” is a little secret between the silences. “Muss Es Sein” is a response to the work of Beethoven that steps away from the expected: no orchestra, no conductor, no stage. Rather than present the established work of Beethoven, an ensemble of artists have created a new, environmental sonic performance with movement that draws on Beethoven’s work as an improviser and innovator.

Spaghetti Dinner:

Location: Masonic Family Center in Moorhead

Cost: $8 adults, $4 children 4-10

Spaghetti Dinner includes homemade meatballs, garlic bread, salad and desert. Proceeds benefit the Moorhead Police Department K-9 Unit.

Kiwanis Pancake Karnival:

Location: Fargodome

Date: Feb 7

Time: 7:00am – 7:00pm

Cost: $7 in advance, $8 at the door. Children 2 and younger free

Advance tickets at Fargo Glass and Paint, Straus Clothing, Wimmer’s Diamonds at West Acres, IHOP, Fargodome or from any Kiwanis Club of Fargo member.

Valentine’s Day Card Workshop:

Location: West Fargo Public Library

Autism and Art Workshop:

Location: Plains Art Museum in Fargo

“Colors & Shapes in VIVID,” which ties into a current exhibit featuring accomplished artists with autism. A free information meeting for parents and/or caregivers is required and will be held the Thursday before each program at 7 p.m.; to register, call (701) 551-6100 or visitwww.plainsart.org

Make A 3D Valentine:

Location: River Walk Artists Gallery in Grand Forks

Date: Feb 7

Time: 12:30pm

Cost: $2 per child

Children aged 8 and up will be guided in the steps to cut out and assemble a three-dimensional Valentine card. The project requires the ability to use scissors independently. No glue will be used in assembly. Participants will receive all materials to make one card, plus an envelope for a finished 8.5” x 5.5” card.

Location: Fargo South Indoor Pool

Get out of the cold and take a cruise to Anchor Island. Enjoy a Saturday afternoon at the Caribbean with music, water games and prizes. Don’t forget to grab yourself a tasty tropical treat and relax by the water. Sunscreen optional.

Greenway Ski Day 2015:

The Grand Forks Park District is once again hosting its annual Greenway Ski Day. Schedule of events includes:

Sunshine Fest:

Sunshine Fest is the Sunshine Memorial Foundation’s annual event that each year helps to raise money for charitable causes. The event consists of a 5K outdoor fun run and an indoor 3K walk, a health and wellness fair, music, fun activities and dozens of amazing prizes!! Sunshine Fest 2015 is going to be our most exciting event yet as all money raised will be going to the Sunshine Memorial Foundation in support of our new project, the Proposed Sunshine Hospitality Home!

Sweetheart Craft and Vendor Show:

Taste of the Season:

Come enjoy a night of musical talent performed by North high students! We will also be serving desserts and there will a silent auction. All proceeds will go to Mr. Gillen, a teacher at North, to help pay for medical expenses of his son. We hope to see you there!

Arc West Central is holding its 26th Annual Valentine Dance. The dance is open to individuals with developmental disabilities, friends, caregivers, family members, and other interested people. Popcorn, treats, and pop will be served. Tickets available at the door.
