Migdalia Caballero Medina Honored with MoorHeart

Mayor Shelly Carlson presented Migdalia Caballero Medina with the city’s May MoorHeart Award at Monday’s city council meeting.

Migdalia Caballero Medina was honored with the city’s monthly MoorHeart Award at Monday’s meeting of the Moorhead City Council. The award, an original artwork by Dennis Krull, was presented by Mayor Shelly Carlson.
Migdalia works with the Friends and Families program at CAPLP, the Lakes and Prairies Community Action Partnership. As a navigator, she provides essential support and guidance to those in need, advocating for early childhood education and educating others about the importance of equity and representation. She promotes equity and building and supporting healthy families.
Her nomination states, “Migdalia is always willing to support different community functions and comes with a positive attitude and an infectious smile.”
The MoorHeart Award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond to demonstrate the sense of community within the city by their actions and service. A team of volunteers from city boards and commissions selects award recipients. Information on nominating individuals and organizations can be found at www.moorheadmn.gov (search for MoorHeart Award).
