Moorhead Police Explorers hold fundraiser

A purchase at the Pizza Ranch in Dilworth on January 2 benefited a local youth organization's fundraiser. From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., 25% of each purchase went to help The Moorhead Police Explorers attend leadership conferences in Duluth and Rochester, Minnesota.

The Moorhead Police Explorers is a group of young men and women who are trained by local police officers. β€œIt allows students, 14 to 21 years old, to learn about what our officers do in day to day life,” said Marissa Femling. Police Explorers study laws and training techniques, assist with traffic control duties at local events and ride along with officers. More information about the program can be found at http://www.cityofmoorhead.com/departments/police/youth-and-family-services/explorers.
