Sheri Larson receives the MoorHeart Award

The Moorhead Business Association and its director, Sheri Larson, received the MoorHeart Award at Monday night’s Moorhead City Council meeting. The award recognizes   individuals and organizations that go above and beyond to demonstrate community within the city.

The nomination cited the MBA’s “helpful, caring and fun-loving support system for entrepreneurs and the surrounding community. It doesn’t matter what the season; they are busy planning and getting the word out how wonderful it is to belong to the Moorhead community. They involve businesses and invite the public to see what is happening right in our own backyard.”

Also cited was the association’s tireless work during the pandemic to ensure Moorhead businesses were aware of all the programs available to keep their business open and running, as well as promotional efforts to encourage residents to support them.

The award was presented by Mayor Pro Tem Chuck Hendrickson. For more information on nominating people and groups for the award, go to cityofmoorhead.com and search “moorheart.”
