Stein wins Horizon Geography Bee for second year in a row

Horizon Middle School student Sam Stein won the Horizon Geography Bee for the second consecutive year in January. Second place went to Andrew Gullickson, and third place went to Jesemy Travers. Steintook the written qualifying test for the opportunity to compete in the Minnesota State Geographic Bee in April. The winning students were recognized at the April 14 School Board meeting. Darrin Olmscheid, Mike Benson and Kathy Cole coordinate the Geography Bee.
