Winners are eligible to participate in the ND 4-H State Communication Arts Contest that will be held on Sunday afternoon, July 20, 2014 at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot. Sponsors for the North Dakota 4-H Communication Arts Program are: ND 4-H Foundation, ND Farm Credit Services, Betty Lok and Slope Electric.
The 4-H Communication Arts program helps participants develop communication skills that are useful throughout their lifetime. It provides participants an opportunity to practice their skills before a group and learn to gather and organize information, equipment and props for their public presentations. These opportunities develop their confidence and skills in making public presentations.
Maxine J. Nordick, Extension Agent/4-H Youth Development for Cass County coordinated the 4-H District Communications Arts event and said, “This event helps young people to build self-confidence, poise and good communication skills.
