Veteran’s Corner

Tom Krabbenhoft

There are a lot of things going on in the veteran world.

Vietnam Veteran week is still here until the 5th. Thank a Vietnam Veteran.

The Fargo Memorial Honor Guard and the Civil Air Patrol are spring cleaning. They are inviting the public to join at the Fargo National Cemetery. They are asking for help to clean our beautiful National Cemetery this Saturday, May 6th, at 10am.

Please come out and enjoy some fresh air and do a good deed. Thanks!

Memorial Day, the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard and Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church, which is located next to the Fargo National Cemetery will have a collaborative effort.

Tentatively schedule is 1700 Ceremony at Fargo National Cemetery.

1730 Picnic with recorded Patriotic/Christian Music.

1900 Concert in Outdoor Worship area.

2100 Fireworks from behind the worship area.

Parking will be in the church parking lot and allowed on the grass to the west of the church unless its wet.

In the event of rain the event will be cancelled.

If you can help with a monetary or food donation or even sponsor the event please contact me here.

I’m hoping to get a motorcycle cultural icon and Marine Corp veteran to do a loose interview with me. He has filmed documentaries, knew and hung out with Hunter S. Thompson and an author. There is a connection between veterans and motorcycles that’s a bit unexplained. This has been the case since WW1. The Famed Lawrence of Arabia of WW1, died in a motorcycle crash. It will be interesting to peel the layers of why veterans and motorcycles are so connected.
