Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Friends of the Moorhead Library Spring Book Sale: Thursday 5:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. 

Storytime and Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Earth Day/Arbor Day Popup: 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo. Stop by The Square for free plant and herb seedlings on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be information and quiz games about the history of Earth Day and Arbor Day, as well as Earth Day themed Mad Libs available.

Saturday, April 29

Gigantic Rummage Sale: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm. Veteran’s Memorial Arena at 1201 7th Ave. E. in West Fargo. Is Spring fever getting the best of you? Are you ready to get out and shop? Check out the 29th Annual Gigantic Rummage Sale on April 29th at the Veterans Memorial Arena. With over 150 booths you are sure to find exactly what you’re looking for.

Vietnam Week 2023: Opening ceremony 9:00 am and Sunday 12:00 pm. Fargo Air Museum at 1609 19th Ave. N. in Fargo. The Saturday opening ceremony consists of keynote speaker, Glenn Thoreson, F-4 flight surgeon Vietnam veteran, missing man ceremony, 21-gun salute, the presentation of colors, and more. The Sunday ceremony consists of keynote speaker, Maynard Kaderlik, Vietnam veteran knowledgeable on Agent Orange and the PACT Act, and more. The Vietnam Memorial Wall, various aircraft, and military vehicles are on display all week. Free – free will donation all week.

Benefit for Rhonda Walock: 12:00 – 4:00 pm. Horace Community Center at 214 Thue Ct. in Horace. Join many to support Rhonda Walock who is battling breast cancer.  Silent auction and free will donation meal served until gone.

Pop-up Exhibit: Gallery in Bloom, with Botanica Floristry: 1:30 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Experience Gordon Mortensen’s vibrant landscape woodcuts with curated floral artistry from Steph Leininger, owner of Botanica Floristry. Arrangements will be available for purchase.

Fry Bread Taco Fiesta: 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Moorhead Masonic Center at 1815 11th St. N. Come and enjoy all you can eat fry bread tacos, Spanish rice, beans, and dessert. Tickets are Adults $10 in advance, $12 at the door, students $8 with ID, Children under 10 are $6. $1 of each ticket will be used for student scholarships.

Minnesota Poets Out Loud: 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. This program will feature poets Fatima Camara, Donte Collins, Shane Hawley, Joe Davis, and Kevin Zepper. Update. Due to potential flooding this program will be held at the Moorhead Public Library. Free.

“Masterpiece” Television Series: 8:00 pm on Prairie Public. One of the greatest novels in the English language comes to television on “Masterpiece” in a four-part adaptation of Henry Fielding’s Tom Jones, bringing mid-18th-century England to life in all its passion and prejudice, luxury, and loose morals. Hosted by Norwegian television personality Arne Hjeltnes, Swedish chef Frida Ronge, and award-winning distiller Stig Bareksten, the team explores the food, culture, land, traditions, and people who live in this isolated part of the world.
