Santa Claus Visits Columbia Mall:

Children can whisper their gift wishes to Santa Claus at his Santa Train Holiday home in Columbia Mall! On November 21, Santa Claus and his fire-fighting buddies will make their grand debut, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Dakota Cafe Food Court entrance (next to Macys)! Santa will read traditional holiday stories as young guests enjoy milk and cookies courtesy of O’ For Heaven’s Cakes & More.

Lions Christmas in the Park:

Location: Lincoln Drive Park in Grand Forks

Date: Dec 4 – Dec 31

Time: 5:30 – 10:00pm

Cost: $5 per car, $10 per limo, $20 per bus.

Take a drive through scenic Lincoln Drive Park, located off Belmont Road and 13th Ave. South, and enjoy displays of holiday lights sponsored by local businesses and organizations. Proceeds from this event will be used by the Lions Clubs to increase contributions to worthwhile charities and projects in the community.

Santa Village:

Location: Rheault Farm in Fargo

Date: Dec 4 – Dec 23

Time: 1:00 – 7:00pm (Dec 10-12, Dec 17-19, and Dec 22-23 4:00 – 8:00pm)

Cost: Free, canned good or new toy donations appreciated

Celebrate the season of giving this holiday season by planning a visit to Santa Village. Santa Village, located on a 15-acre enclosed farm site, is a non-commercial village where children and adults can make holiday memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Daily activities include visiting Santa, live reindeer, decorating a cookie with Mrs. Claus, writing letters to Santa, model train displays, special arts and crafts projects, and light displays.

All donations are used to support area organizations including the Giving Tree of Hope, the Children’s Miracle Network, the YMCA 21st Century Community Learning Centers, and the Great Plains Food Bank. Santa Village does not keep any of these donations.

NDSCS-Fargo Open House:

Concordia Christmas Concert:

The 88th Annual Concordia Christmas Concert’s theme is “Arise, Shine, for Your Light Has Come.” Joining approximately 350 singers in five choral ensembles and a 72-piece symphony orchestra, the performance will share the most beautiful collection of Christmas music you’ll hear during the holiday season.

Winter wUNDerland:

Location: Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks

The Department of Music, Dr. Joshua Bronfman and Melanie Popejoy present Winter wUNDerland. This sparking holiday event will feature more than 250 of UND’s finest musicians performing a wide array of treasured holiday music from popular holiday songs to classic carols and everything in between.

Jingle Bell Run/Walk:

Location: Courts Plus Community Fitness in Fargo

Chosen as one of the Most Incredible Themed Races, Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis is a fun and festive way to kick off your holidays by helping others! Wear a holiday themed costume and tie jingle bells to your shoelaces. Raise funds to help find a cure for arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability. Run or walk a 5-kilometer route with your team members and celebrate the season by giving. Stay for the after party to enjoy coffee, “hot cocoa,” and knephola soup while listening to music and winning door prizes.

Breakfast with Santa:

Location: Hawley Community Center

The Hawley Women of Today will be serving a pancake and egg breakfast. A free will offering will be collected with profits going right back into the community. Santa will be present, along with Santa’s Secret Shop and horse drawn carriage rides!

Christmas Luncheon:

Location: Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo

Refreshments served while guests shop the many items that will be for sale, luncheon at 11:00am followed by presentation of gifts to charity organizations and music by Kathie Brekke.

Holiday Sale:

Location: Plains Art Museum in Fargo

Find the perfect holiday gift at our sale held at the Center for Creativity, with works of art by students in Plains Art Museum classes, Open Studio participants, staff, and teaching artists. The proceeds will go to the individual artists, with a portion going to the Museum’s educational programs that take place in the Katherine Kilbourne Burgum Center for Creativity.

Munchies for Missions:

Location: Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church at 2601 23rd Ave S in Fargo

Fundraiser event featuring soups, sandwich bar & dessert available for a free-will offering. Baked goods/holiday munchies for sale as well as a silent auction, which closes at 1:00pm. All proceeds will go toward the Sudanese Ministry / education right here in Fargo at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

Christmas on the Prairie:

Location: Bonanzaville in West Fargo

Time: 1:00 – 6:00pm

Cost: $3 – $5, free for ages 3 and under

Come see the decorated village, also cookie decorating, Christmas carolers, horse drawn wagon rides, competitions, musical performances, desserts and beverages, a silent auction, demonstrators, photos with Santa and more.

Santa visits the Library!

Location: West Fargo Public Library

Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa will be visiting the library this afternoon. We will be reading a Holiday story and making a fun project. All will have an opportunity to visit with the Jolly Old Elf himself, talk about your year, and share your wish list. Don’t forget your camera. No registration required.

Nutcracker Story Time:

Location: Moorhead Public Library

Join us for a special story time with dancers from the Gasper School of Dance presenting the story and tale of the Nutcracker. Meet the sugar plum fairy and her friends and learn about this special holiday story! Join us for a ballet-inspired craft afterward!
