Aaron Rustad Benefit and Auction:

Friends and other contributors will host a Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, February 21, 2015 to help Aaron Rustad. Aaron is a 2012 Graduate of Hawley High School and a Member of the MN National Guard. On September 3rd, 2014 He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He has been hospitalized at Sanford in Fargo since his diagnosis and is undergoing massive doses of Chemotherapy, Bone Marrow Biopsies, and other extensive treatments and tests. He has been unable to work or go to Military Training since September and the prognosis is that for the next 12 or more months, he will remain in and out of the hospital. There is a possibility that he may need to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

The meal will include a pasta dinner, salad, warm breadsticks, and brownie dessert. Lend A Hand, a program of DMF, is providing up to $5,000 of matching funds to provide more support for the family.

Peace Corps Series: Guatemala:

The Last Keeper at Split Rock:

The Last Keeper at Split Rockis a book by Mike Roberts, who was the last keeper when Split Rock Lighthouse closed in 1969. He has written a book about his experiences, and speaks throughout the state.
