Adult Coloring Show! – Get Your Coloring Sheets Now!

Pick up a free coloring sheet beginning Monday, December 28, color, and return to the library by 9 pm Wednesday, January 13. Receive a free hot cocoa packet and register for a prize when you return your finished project. The meeting room will also be stocked with coloring supplies if you wish to do your coloring at the library or plan to join others on Coloring Night, Thursday, January 7, 6-8 pm, in the meeting room. Open to adults and high school students. One entry per person please. Finished projects will be on display from January 18 through the end of February.

Paint Samson’s Portrait:Art workshop with Ellen Jean Diederich:

Learn drawing and watercolor techniques as you create a portrait of Samson, star of local artist and author Ellen Jean Diederich’s newest picture book “Samson’s Gift.” Children ages 7 to 12 years old are welcome to join us for an afternoon of creative fun as she shares her inspirational techniques for creating your very own watercolor masterpiece. Presented by Bare Stage Theatre, based on humorous news stories from North Dakota. The all-female cast plays multiple roles including Cathy and Kathy in the morning presenting all the local news, the church basement ladies as they prepare for the annual hotdish and lutefisk social, the local sheriff’s report and live call-ins from listeners. Parents Night Out! A Nocturnal Adventure:

Parents can have a great night out while the kids enjoy a wild time at the Zoo with a night full of fun, games and activities! Children will go on a Nocturnal Adventure, learning about the animals that are out and about at night through games, activities and a trip through the Zoo. Adventures take energy, so a snack will be provided. RRZ Members: $20 first child $10 each additional child; Non-Members $30 first child $15 each additional child. The purpose of World Religion Day is to promote understanding and dialogue between the followers of all religions, to call attention to the common foundation of their spiritual principles, and to emphasize that “Religion must be the cause of unity.” Warm your belly & your heart! Bring a personal care product or nonperishable food item for the Emergency Food Pantry. Program includes a peace lantern lighting vigil!
