Thursday, March 12:

Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN Benefit Concert, 5:00 pm @ Fargo Air Museum. Help raise money to help send our beloved Veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, DC. The event will feature concerts by the Red River Valley Veterans Concert Band & the Little River Dixieland Band; a live & silent auction; and a free-will Sloppy Joe supper. A suggested donation of $5/person is suggested which includes admission to the Fargo Air Museum.

DISH: Potluck at The Rourke, 6:00 pm @ The Rourke Art Gallery & Museum in Moorhead. Potluck participants are asked to bring an ancestral or family dish to the event. These dishes are archived through photography and the collection of recipe cards, which will be paired with each photograph to create a regional cookbook.

LEGO Club, 6:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. LEGO builders of all ages and abilities are welcome to come make their own Lego creation at our Lego Club. Supplies provided to build, but make sure to bring your imagination. Free.

Community Flood Informational Meeting, 6:00 pm @ Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. All are welcome to attend a Community Flood Informational Meeting to learn more about the City of Moorhead’s flood preparations and get information on potential flood impacts.

National Book Award Program, 7:30 pm @ Centrum, Knutson Campus Center at Concordia College. The National Book Awards Readings and Conversation event will include a book signing and reception following the event. The event features: Sarah M. Broom, 2019 National Book Award Winner in Nonfiction for “The Yellow House” and David Treuer, 2019 National Book Award Finalist in Nonfiction for “The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee: Native America from 1890 to the Present.” Free.

Friday, March 13:

2020 HIP HOP Summit, 8:00 pm @ Centrum Knutson Campus Center at Concordia College. This event is a really engaging and fun opportunity for students to learn about the cultural relevance of him Hip Hop as it pertains to social change, advocacy, and raising awareness of the need to support Black and Indigenous peoples. Come out enjoy amazing poetry and music, eat some delicious refreshments, and make some amazing art.

Saturday, March 14:

Cub Scout Pancake Feed – Pack 201 HMR, 8:00 am @ El Zagal Shrine at 1429 3rd St. N. in Fargo. Cub Scouts will be serving buttermilk and blueberry pancakes (strawberry and whipped cream topping), sausage patties, milk, orange juice, and coffee. The price will be $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 12 and under. Bring a non-perishable food donation for the emergency food pantry and receive $1.00 off per person.

St. Patrick’s Parade Parking Lot Pre-Party, 9:00 am @ 814 Center Ave. in Moorhead. Come hang out with us before the 2020 Fargo-Moorhead St. Patrick’s Parade for a morning of fun, food, games, dogs, crafts, live music, coffee, and more at our Parking Lot Pre Party. The starting line for the parade is right in front of the new 814 Center Ave. building. Family and dog friendly. Free.

Pi Day, 10:00 am @ Inspire Innovation Lab at 423 Main Ave. in Moorhead. We’ll be serving free pie for everyone and celebrating circles. Activities also include an inspire kids’ art show, entertainment and performance art pie baking contest and live judging, STEAM activities to try out, and much more. Free.

Daughters of Norway Meeting, 10:00 am @ Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead. Program Presentation “Learn to Lucet” by Karen Aakre. Lucet is a Viking Era form of cordmaking. Lucet cord was used on clothing or to hang items from a belt. Refreshments served. Visitors welcome.

Fargo Masonic Vendor & Craft Show, 11:00 am @ Fargo Masonic Center at 1405 3rd St. N. Come see our local vendors and crafters. Free.

Not Another Teen Book Club, 3:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us this month as we discuss Walk on Earth a Stranger, the first book in the Gold Seer Trilogy by New York Times bestselling author Rae Carson. Free.

Sunday, March 15:

All Axes: Show Swap Sell Third Annual Guitar Show, 11:00 am @ TAK Music Venue in Dilworth. The only event of its kind for the Fargo/Moorhead/West Fargo Metro area. This year’s event will have an international flavor, celebrating guitars manufactured in countries throughout the world. In addition to the guitar show, there will be over 20 booths by various individuals and venders selling/swapping guitars, pedals, handmade pickups, electronics repair, and accessories. $5.

Sunset on the Bayou Painting Party, 3:00 pm @ Moorhead Masonic Center at 1815 11th St. N. Join the Order of the Eastern Star for a fundraising painting night for the Jeremiah Project for single mothers in our area. Dinner will be provided. The cost is for 1 person $40, for 2 in your group is $35 each and if you have 3 or more in your party the cost is $30 per person. Reserve your spot at www.CreativeTravelerFM.com.

Ask a Techspert, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Do you have a phone, tablet, laptop, iPad, Kindle or other device that you’re struggling to use? We can help. Come to an open session to learn more about your device, plus learn how to download eBooks and eAudiobooks free of charge from OverDrive. Free.

Read to a Therapy Pet, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Help boost your kid’s reading confidence with a 15-minute read-aloud session with a local therapy pet. Participants are welcome to bring their own books or choose from the library’s collection. Free.

Arc Games & More, 7:00 pm @ Murray Hall at MSUM in Moorhead. Arc Games and More is a place to connect with others and the community in an environment that fosters friendships and celebrates individual abilities and talents. Each session will include activities and creative activities, based on a different theme each month. Free.

A Tribute to St. Patrick’s Day, 7:00 pm @ First Presbyterian Church at 650 2nd Ave. N. in Fargo. The Fargo Moorhead Area Music Club will present a program of Music of Ireland. Performers will be the Dakota Brass Quintet, Harpist Helen Hill, and the Silver Winds Flute Quartet. Free.

Tuesday, March 17:

Chess Club, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join chess players of every level for a chess skill share. Chess boards and books will be provided. Free.

Classy and Trashy Book Club, 7:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for the Classy and Trashy Book Club. Starting in February we’ll discuss Stephen King’s The Stand over three months. For March we’ll read Book II (chapters 43-60). Free.
