Traditions, Family, and Friends

It is a wonderful time of year with holiday cheer in the air. Many of us may be scrambling at the last minute this weekend shopping, some of us packing bags to head out of town, and others preparing to invite guests over for whatever events may be happening. Aside from an incredible economic impact this month brings to our local businesses, it is equally important to recognize and appreciate those around us. Each of us spends time, money, and energy in a variety of ways throughout the holiday season. I encourage everyone to pause and take a moment to slow down and enjoy everything this community has to offer whether it is alone in your down time, with family, or with friends.

Over the next two weeks it is a time to reflect on a successful year in 2014 and to set goals for 2015. Your support in the community has been incredible and I personally thank you for standing tall, being proud, and telling everyone about Moorhead’s outstanding year as we wrap this one up and look onward.

Here is a challenge for all of you: Next time you grab that cup of coffee at the local coffee shop, fill up your fuel tank, make a deposit at your financial institution, and any other business stops along the way, thank those folks for continuing to do business in town and especially the workers committed to Moorhead. We are strong through the help from our neighbors and businesses who continue to support the local economy and to all of you for being their patrons.

See you around town!
